Transitions are hard. Here are 10 strategies to make them a little easier [CHECKLIST]

Hello. We all know transitions are fucking hard. And honestly, until further notice, I'm counting this whole month as one. Lol but seriously.

We are coming off one of the worst years in recent memory. We are still in the middle of 2 global pandemics: COVID-19 and, of course, White supremacy.

Periods of transitions are often fraught and extra challenging.

I have always thought of periods of transitions as being a grieving process, which is why they can be so hard.

Even if the previous reality wasn't exactly great, it's still hard to let go and face something new, different, and unknown.

As a result of going through a transition – or multiple simultaneous ones – you may be:

  • feeling anxious or depressed

  • having trouble sleeping

  • experiencing more conflicts with other people

  • having headaches or other pain

  • having trouble focusing

  • feeling low energy, overwhelmed, lost, or confused

If you're struggling with this period of multiple transitions, use this checklist (click to download) of 10 strategies to make things a little easier on yourself right now – especially if you are working on moving your career forward through this mess.
